I wanted to share an update about some temporary changes I’ll be making to my shop’s shipping options that will affect customers in the EU and EEA regions. As many of you know, I create handmade women’s clothing with lots of love and care, and I’ve been so grateful for the support from my amazing customers around the world.
Recently, new product safety regulations in the EU (called the General Product Safety Regulation or GPSR) have been introduced, and they come into effect on December 13, 2024. These rules are meant to ensure that all products sold in the EU meet specific safety and labeling requirements, which is a great thing—but they also come with some extra steps that I need to figure out for my business.
To give myself the time and space to get everything in order, from December 6th 2024 I’ll be pausing shipments to the EU and EEA countries (like France, Germany, Norway, Ireland and Northern Ireland and others) for now. Please note these regulations apply to countries in the EU and EEA only, all other international destinations won't be affected.
WHY THE PAUSE
The new rules require a bit more paperwork, safety documentation, and even appointing someone in the EU to oversee compliance. As a small handmade business, these changes will take time to work through—and I want to make sure I get it right before sending my pieces your way again.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT
I really hope that this will be a temporary measure so I will be working hard to meet these requirements so I can continue to share my handmade clothing with my EU customers.
In the meantime, my shop remains open for customers in the UK and other international and non-EU regions, and thanks for your continued support as I navigate this process.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE
To my previous EU customers, thank you so much for shopping and wearing Stylecamp for your special moments. Thanks also you for your patience as I figure out the best path forward. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.
